Floor sanding week Balmoral to Avondale

NuFloors workload had a large floor focus this week. It started in Balmoral, floor sanding a hardwood flooring, American oak flooring in a house undergoing renovations. The oak flooring had been previously installed and polished with a polyurethane finish. Over time, the floor had yellowed.

To maintain a pale finish and to avoid the floor yellowing the owners chose to finish the floor with a high-quality non-yellowing water based finish (Known in the industry as 2 pack). Vermeister product
The floor sanding team then moved on to a renovated block of flats in central Auckland. The entire block of flats being renovated for resale. our floor sanders, sanded the floorboards in all of the flats then applied two pack water base matt finish to the floors.

Towards the end of the week, Our Floor Sanders polished the timber floors at a house in Avondale west auckland. NuFloors had installed the timber floors in this house previously and now that the builders progressed to other projects so the timber flooring and the staircase were accessible for sanding. This floor was around 35m2, and the wood chosen was American oak flooring.
Our floor sander applied a low sheen polyurethane finish, the floor will be a major feature of the house.
