Kawakawa Bay - Matai Timber Flooring

Now to truly appreciate this job let your imagination run a little wild. So think of a really hot day and your trusty floor sander working hard. Now I ask a question. Do you believe in God. I have to say that I am not a great believer however I have to say that in the case of this job there must be. Because while I had sweat pouring from me he must have been laughing his head off.

Confused. Then you need to check out the view that I had while floor sanding this floor. It was torture to say the least. Right across the road from the beach. Now you could say " why didn't you just go for a swim than". Well I agree. However you're paying a floor sander to sand your hardwood floors not go swimming. So through the heat and sweat we managed to get the floor coated.

Which is just as well. Now the floor was coated with a water based polyurethane Bona traffic Hd and had two coats on it by early afternoon. We used water based because the owners were staying in the house and had small children and because of the fast drying and no smell it was the best choice.
On a different note it had been a long time since I have done a floor at Kawakawa Bay.
