The Bamboo Knight's

Bamboo is being used for all types of construction and flooring with its popularity increasing in recent years. Due its unbeatable strength and durability it is now considered an excellent choice in timber flooring installation. It is a sustainable resource that is kind to the environment as it replenishes itself quickly. Its light colour provides an excellent choice in wooden flooring as it enhances your home. Recently Nufloors completed a job out in Warkworth for a lady whose floor sander bailed on her. The Boss couldn’t bear to see a lady in distress so rode up on his white horse (I mean drove in the white van) to see if he could save the damsel's flooring issues.

Arriving on site and navigating around the other knights in coloured armor (being the painters) we got underway. Over the following three days we started early and finished early to enable the other knights (painters) to complete their round table tasks. This bamboo floor was not going to surrender easily. It put up a strong fight throughout the three days ... the battle required 24 grit then 40 grit sand paper just to get the pre finished bamboo coating to yield. By day three, the battle was in its final stages with fine sanding completed and two coats of solvent based polyurethane. On the fourth day the knights moved for the final battle – applying the third coat of polyurethane. This Bamboo Flooring was successfully restored to a brand new finish and the knights of NUFLOORS left the battlefield triumphant. Although yet to receive their medals of honor...
