Timber Species - existing Jarrah Timber flooring
Scope of work - rough sand, Spot fill and fine sand
Finish - 3 coats of Solvent based finish low sheen

One of the pleasures of being a floor sander is to find a wooden floor of potential beauty, this was the case at portage rd Otahuhu Auckland. this job was quoted over the phone so when we arrived on site to remove the carpet we were surprised to find jarrah hardwood flooring, secondly this hardwood floor had never been polished from the time of its installation it had been covered up.

Once the dusty smelly carpet had been removed out floor sanders were put to task. firstly as you can see by the photos there was an old fireplace. new jarrah wood flooring was purchased and our floor sander was quick, he had installed the new timber flooring before I had arrived with coffee. As there was a flooring timber yard close to this job.

By the end of the first day, and with the hardwood repair completed the team applied 2 coats of polyurethane, the next day the final coat was applied job complete.
