My Floor sanding week off - Yeah Right

Yes that's right, I had a week of floor sanding Auckland, well actually 5 days at sunny Brisbane, We arrived early on Thursday and off to DFO (direct Factory Outlet). the first things we bought was Work gear for our floor sanders, New Shoes for our floor polishers, eventually we left this mega store and arrived at our friends, Yes NonFloorsanders. Just in time to watch Brisbane put on a show and destroy 100'000 pains of glass and flood houses in central Brisbane, and amazing experience and all i thought about is all the work that was now needed, and eventually lots of timber flooring repairs to be done due to water damage with broken windows everywhere.

The Next day we awoke to drive up to moolobar for some famous Brisbane king prawns, yum yum... bbq here we come. After some much-needed refreshments from the heat, I had to check up back home how the floor sanding was going back home, their reply, yes we are timber floor sanding and polishing wood floors,
Day 3, road trip again this time off to the paradise point to a famous bar for lunch, well we missed all the bands and a had few drinks, well a few more drinks later we decided to stay for dinner, into the Irish bar, all i could do was look down, the floor repair was needed, nufloors could branch out to Aussie, well well more drinks were needed, looking around the hardwood flooring installation was not great, we could do better. later back at our base and looking at the bottom of another bourbon bottle we decided to go to bed.

Day 4 you guessed it Shopping, the boys went off in one direction, the girls in another, Knowing that my wallet was going to be hit hard we decided to hit a Bar, our driver was sober so we decided to go and look at a new house, Display home.. yeah right first house had a hardwood floor, yes this is looking good for nufloors installing timber floors in Aussie, lol next house, Tiles, Not cork tiles but cold ceramic tiles, made it feel hard under foot, but we were surprised to find a large family room with beautiful parquetry floors, yes i thought parquetry flooring is still in style..i wondered will the next house have a parquetry floor? No. I was wrong back to good old hardwood timber floors, warm and beautiful. Upstairs was

carpet, but the Kids play area was dark Autumn Cork flooring, enough. back to the house for yes light refreshments, bbq Aussie steak and bed.
Day 5 Actually is why we are here, My wife is a Karry perry Lover, the concert was not till 7pm, So you guessed it Shopping then off for a boat trip on the Brisbane river, not one commercial oak floors to be seen, timber flooring was replaced by Katy perry crazy fans, Actually a very good concert. we then trained back to our base for the night.
Day 6 Home time, up early, head pounding from the screaming fans, and off to the airport, up into the air and off we went back to flooring Auckland, back to floor sanding auckland.
