Nufloorsnz was chosen as a auckland flooring specialists company to restore their tawa flooring.

They had a central heating system installed and dried out the house so much the timber floorboards shrunk. Our job was to trowel fill all the gaps and re sand and finish the timber flooring, first off all the time frame 4 days before Xmas and 1 day before we start 1200 meter hall, no sweat we can do it, nufloorsnz floor sanding has two vans on the road and 4 guys so yes you guessed it, we had everyone on site.

My self and my head floor sander we on-site early a set the pace and time frame, and we were off onto another floor sanding job, Gareth was in charge to give our minions instructions.This flooring auckland job was going to need double trowel filling. So first thing, fill the wooden floor, the rough sand, mediums and re fill the floor, day one job almost ready for coating.

Now I mentioned we were starting 1200 meters so while the main team moved onto that job, Gareth was left to complete the floor sanding process, fine sand, scrape the corners and disc then vacuum. Job ready for polyurethane

As a floor sanding company we don't recommend trowel filling as the floor might expand and contract during the seasons and push out the filler, so each to their own, after all was explained the customer still wanted it done, now as you can see from the before and after photos the floor looks very smooth and sleek, customer was very happy.

The tawa timber flooring was finished off in a solvent based coating system from Handley industries in a low sheen finish
