Tsi Ming Temple - Rimu Timber Flooring It is this one in Greenlane that is of interest. Our floor sanders was asked to come in and redo the Rimu floors at this beautiful place of worship. Because the Temple is a place for worship it was important that strict protocol was followed. Part of Nufloors contract was to help with the removal of artifacts that are priceless and very heavy requiring all our staff plus some very helpful Monks.

Because these expensive artifacts can not be replaced Nufloors did the floor sanding in two parts. This enabled the Temple to place their property on one side so that Nufloors could sand over half the hall in one go. Our Auckland floor sanding team was now under way and in just two days had the floor sanded and coated with a solvent based polyurethane.

Over the course of the week we had all the coats completed. With two days of rest the floor sanders was back in to help move the priceless property back into place and continuing on with the last bit. In no time at all this was completed also leaving a brand new floor. The floor required a 24 grit to get the old polyurethane off. From there it was a 40 grit a 80 grit with a fine sand with a 100 grit to have a beautiful finished floor.

This is the first time that I have had the opportunity to see inside a Temple like this. I believe that they are open to the public to view and if you want something different to look at it would be worth the look. The people at the Temple are very friendly and helpful. A very impressive place.
